Introduction:
The Bridge School has around
100 experienced and professional teachers. 70
university graduates and 30 master degree teachers.
Majors: Chinese language teaching or human science
related. Whatever the age, interests or previous
experience of our instructors, the teaching method
is still the same high quality. In addition, they
must possess excellent interpersonal skills and
the ability to communicate well with the students.
Many of our teachers have excellent foreign language
skills in English, German, Japanese and other
languages.
■ Teachers' awards:
Since the fourth quarter of 2006,
nearly 30 teachers will be awarding quarterly.
The Evaluation contents as following: The contest
related to teaching methods will be held; the
evaluations of teachers (made by students); the
attendance and working attitudes; The lesson mark(made
a call by customs service).The final added evaluation
scores will be released quarterly, The first three
groups will get award in three different levels.

■ Teaching method reinforcement:
Every morning at 8:50 and evening
at 18:50, we have a teachers’ briefing to discuss
their student’s progress or special circumstances.
Every week there is a teachers’ meeting focusing
on each detailed lesson.
Every first Sunday of the month there is a workshop
for all teachers.
■ Training and testing for teachers:
We regularly invite experts university
and professors to introduce different teaching
methods to our teachers; sometimes we invite some
foreign students of Chinese to give some suggestion
as well.
The school will test teachers about their basic
Chinese language for foreigner’s knowledge and
teaching skills on a regular schedule.
■ New teacher recruiting and training:
Every newcomer to our teaching
staff has to receive at least two months of training
regardless of his or her previous experience.
Our experts trains them in a hand-on way: the
new teachers teach real foreign students who are
invited by the school and supervised by experts
who will help correct and train the teachers.
In this way, our teaching method is unified. The
whole process of training is filmed and all the
teachers watch the videotapes. The new teachers
must pass 4 exams during the 1st year to continue
teaching at The Bridge School.

Teachers-level management
system:
We have carried out a
teachers-level management system to give all teachers
a fair and open platform to show their capacities
and abilities. According to this system, every
teacher can clearly know his or her level in teaching.
What’s more important is teachers’ management
will be more open and democratic. Teachers can
submit any questions and problems existing in
all mattes at The Bridge School. It will speed
up question solving and boost evaluation system.
The Bridge School plans to improve and realize
it within half a year. Besides, by the end of
this year, bonuses for teachers will double that
of last year’s.
At present, we have an around 100 professional
teachers. We organize all kinds of lectures every
week and month to give teachers an opportunity
to study and develop. No matter if you are a graduate,
or an experienced Chinese teacher, you are welcome
to join us to learn and develop better teaching
methods for foreigners, especially for foreign
adults.
