As luck would have it I found a good langage school with nice  and  qualitied staff. I  began to learn Chinese 2 months ago at the Bridge School and 3 times a week. I enjoy taking a group class for 3 intensive hours taught by 2 different teachers.

Reaping the benefits of courses requies obviously a constant personal input outside the class. As far as I am concerned, I also learn characters, for each lesson I memrize them. At the begining it 's a hard nut to crack , but they quicky became very useful and it's so exciting to recognize them when I go out!

So if someone looked  for some advice about "how to learn  without tears"? The first step is to find a good school, Having done that you cannot but want to study and continue step bu step.

I had have 4 teachers since I started to study Chinese at The Bridge School, so I can compare (in a good way). My actural teacher is great! She use pictures in her class. Correct my pronunciation every time I need. And the big difference is: we work on the white board without book, introducing little by little new words and dialogue, and during this time I feel I am learning after repeating many times. Then she creates different situations which I can use new words or sentences that I learned.
--One thing I suggest to The Bridge School is change or improve books with pictures, activities and way to introduce new things. some times is not clear. I'd use different types and sices of letter.
--Prepare pictures or cards for each lesson to work with them before start new lesson.
--Work with songs to learn or use vocabulary.
--Decorate room with usefulcharactiers or sentences always with drawings or pictures.

Nice staff, nice teachers, a constant serch for improvement. Still one of the best places in Beijing to study Chinese the fun (or hard) way!

Mrs. Micol----a translator. She learns Chinese in group classes at The Bridge School from beginner level to third level. Now she is registering HSK classes and prepare for the test.
